Organic products are trending. Which is great! Because sustainable farming is not only good for the environment, it’s also good for people. For body and soul because organic farmers help us appease our conscience and thus enjoy refreshment without regret. Finally a trend that even our children will think is great. Although they will probably use a different word for it. In order to guarantee that PONA only contains happy fruit, it is particularly important that our farmers follow strict requirements. In doing so we do not only rely on seals of quality and certificates but also on our gut feeling – that’s why we paid a visit to all our farmers and stay in close contact with them.

The Italian island of Sicily is not only the a place to find many tourists, it is also home to the most active volcano in Europe, Mount Etna. The volcanic soil at the bottom of this world natural heritage site is the ideal medium for the orange- and grapefruit trees on which our friuts ripen. 330 days of sun a year make for an especially fruity taste squeezed out by Elena and Giovanna, our farmers who work in a small cooperative. This means we can do without sugar and additives and keep a clear conscience.

OUR SECRET: THE APPLE DOESN’T FALL FAR FROM THE PRESS.

South Tyrol offers everything an apple’s heart desires. At more than 900 meters (2953 ft.) above sea level, the sun shines more than 300 days a year, but the nights are cool and humid. That’s the reason for the apples fresh, sweet and unique taste, and is also why additional sugar or additives are superfluous. The juice is directly pressed on her farm before starting its journey to nearby Carinthia in the South of Austria.

BAD NEWS FOR POOR QUALITY JUICE!

Only unfiltered and untreated organic direct juice of the highest quality is used for PONA. Nature herself provides evidence for this in form of the cloudy haze that will settle at the bottom of the bottle after a while. In order to enjoy its full fruity taste, we recommend you to shake PONA or turn the bottle upside down shortly before opening it. But beware: PONA contains carbonic acids, so do not shake it too much.
